Sharing the Love

I did not take a single one of these pictures. But I think that’s one of the things I love about photography. It’s so accessible to basically anyone. If I give you a camera, you can figure out the rest.

Sometimes I get stuck in old habits and routines with my photography, and giving someone else a chance to play around with it allows you to see things in a new way. There’s a thousand ways to look at a scene, and you can build that perspective.

I think my favourite thing is seeing people adjust and take in the world through that lens for a bit. Changes their perspective. If they really love it, you can see them get lost in it.

My uncle did the same thing to me as a kid. Gave me the tool and then set me loose. Its how I became addicted, and I love watching it happen to other people now. Searching and digging, until they can frame up that perfect picture, that perfect shot.

Bingo.
