You wouldn’t believe how old this car is to me. I faintly remember when my dad went to buy this car when I was a kid. It was almost new back then. It drove us around on family trips and more when I was a kid. When my parents got divorced, it was the car I loaded my bags into every week. We drove Lexie for a drive thru burger in this thing before she died, I bet her fur is still somewhere in the seats.

At some point, I bought it off dad and it became my first car. And my only car since. She gets an oil change when she needs it, and got her brakes changed once. And that’s all she needs. She drove us all over, and then as her last big trip she made it to the middle of absolutely nowhere.

She’s at 270k right now, and shows no signs of giving up anytime soon. It’s weird how you can get attached to physical objects. Maybe it’s the memories housed in its walls. But with the right song playing, it’s like she runs better.
